Each grade in the Biblical Studies K‑7 curriculum is designed around:

Driving Question – sparking student curiosity

A question to spur student curiosity and to drive student learning in Biblical Studies throughout the year

Core Biblical Themes – our “Big Ideas

The Biblical themes or “Big Ideas” that will be the focus of Biblical Studies in the respective grades

Competencies – the skills students will develop

These represent the skills and disciplines we desire our students to be able to DO, through their learning in Biblical Studies

Core Biblical Content – the Biblical knowledge students will gain

This represents the Biblical knowledge we desire students to KNOW and grow in through their learning in Biblical Studies

God’s goodness

God is good because He loves, He cares, He listens, and He provides.

Biblical stories teach us about God and how He works in His people.

Creation Story

Our world was created by God, and we were created in His image.

God’s Love for you

God loves and cares for us, and He desires that we love and care for others.

The Birth of Jesus: Celebrating the arrival of Jesus

The Easter Story: Revealing Jesus’ death & resurrection through resurrection eggs

The work of the Holy Spirit (The Trinity, the fruit of the Spirit, God’s Spirit in us)
