Founded in 1960, Pacific Christian School provides Christ centered education to over 900 students each year at our two schools. Our Elementary School houses preschool through grade seven. Our High School houses grades eight through twelve.
As a category one independent school, PCS receives 50% of the core funding per student provided to public schools in our local district. The remaining money required to run the school comes from tuition and the generous support of our community..
By providing an excellent academic curriculum, offering a variety of extracurricular activities, and assembling a caring, culturally diverse community, we, with the support of parents and local churches, empower students from Christian families to develop their gifts within the context of a Christian worldview so that they can act as Christ’s transforming agents in a global society.
Pacific Christian School utilizes curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education in British Columbia.
We focus on learning appropriate for each of our students. In addition to a strong academic program, Pacific Christian offers a range of service opportunities, a fine arts program which promotes creative expression, and a vibrant athletic program. Pacific Christian provides students with a nurturing community where they are academically challenged from a Christian perspective.
Pacific Christian School is accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Province of British Columbia. Our graduates receive a Dogwood diploma from the Ministry.
Pacific Christian has over 140 people on staff. Many of our faculty members have advanced degrees. Every faculty member is certificated by the Teacher Regulation Branch of the Ministry of Education.
Pacific Christian School works in cooperation with the Keyano Transportation Society to provide transportation for many of our families.
