Consider the different genres and contexts of Biblical text.
Use the Bible and reflective practices (conversations, questions, wonderings, and journaling to reflect on scripture) as a way to discover God, His story, and His ongoing activity in our lives:
Encourage students to also take their faith questions to other adults they trust
Allow for the Bible and reflective practices as guided by the Holy Spirit to guide their thinking and actions
Participate and respond to real needs, problems, and people in their communities
Develop their unique God-given identity, character, and abilities
Prepare, lead, and facilitate devotional and biblical studies with peers
Seek justice – using restorative approaches to develop relationships, resolve conflict, and serve as ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5)
